Standard fee is $1.50 per minute of footage.  (A 30-minute tape would cost $45 to transcribe.)  Please specify if a project must be completed by a certain date.  There may be an additional fee for rush projects.

The easiest way to send your footage to Emily is via the Dropbox website.  You will need to create a free ID if you don't already have one; then simply upload your files and share them with GoodEveningEmily@gmail.com.  However, footage may also be mailed, emailed, or submitted on DVD or flash drive.

If your footage has timecode embedded in it, that will serve as a time reference; if not, the timer on the media player used (such as Quicktime) will serve as a time reference.  For more information on timecode, check out the article, Time Code is On Your Side.

The transcript can be edited and formatted to suit your needs.  Options include:

Verbatim:  Word-for-word.
Clarity:  The "um's," "you know's," and stutters are removed.
Topical:  Unrelated topics are paraphrased and/or omitted.
Grammar:  Colloquial language is converted into standard, grammatically correct English.
