Rates and Info

Standard rate is $1.50 per transcribed minute.  (A 30-minute tape would cost $45 to transcribe.)  Please specify if a project must be completed by a certain date or time.  There may be an additional charge for rush projects.  Footage may be submitted on DVD, or emailed in an electronic media format such as QuickTime.  If your footage has time code attached to it, that will be used as a time reference; if not, the timer on the media player (such as QuickTime Player) can be used as a time reference.  Do not hesitate to call or email if you have questions!

 

Editing

Transcripts are edited to suit your needs.  Editing options include:

Verbatim:   Word-for-word.  Recommended for broadcast footage.

Clarity:       The "um's," "you know's" and stutters are removed.

Topical:      Unrelated topics are paraphrased and/or omitted.

Grammar:  Colloquial language is converted into standard, grammatically correct English.
